I work in a software development company focused on building software for companies that make things. Our customers make everything from cars, to planes, to chemical products, consumer electronics and more. It is a great way to experience many disciplines of engineering through a digital lens.

Unfortunately this can happen. It is important to record and report this if it happens at work or school. Also don’t bother confronting bully’s directly, the best way to get back is to win.

It can be hard if you are excluded. I think it is good to remember that knowledge is available in more than one source. If someone is keeping you out find someone that wants to include you.

I changed from oil and gas to software. I started by taking classes in programming and software. Getting experience in the industry you want to transition to can be useful.

I think it is important to embrace your identity and show up as a full representation of yourself. The people that don’t like it are non voting contributors to your life.

It is import to support others often you gain more from it than the person your supporting.
